Copyright Information for World TV Stream
Our Philosophy
World TV Stream ("WTS", "we", "us") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Services to do the same. Our service functions as an index or directory, providing convenient access to publicly available live TV streams found on the internet. We do not host, distribute, or broadcast any video content ourselves.
Content Sourcing
The vast majority of channel links provided through the World TV Stream Website and Apps are sourced directly from the community-maintained iptv-org/iptv project on GitHub (https://github.com/iptv-org/iptv). This project aggregates publicly accessible IPTV stream links.
To the best of our knowledge, based on the operational principles of the source project, these streams have been deliberately made public by the respective copyright holders for online access or embedding.
WTS Does Not Host Content
It is crucial to understand that World TV Stream does not host, provide, archive, store, copy, or distribute any media content whatsoever. Our Services merely provide links or an access interface to content hosted on third-party servers elsewhere on the internet. We have no control over the availability, legality, or content of these third-party streams.
Copyright Infringement Claims & DMCA
Because World TV Stream merely links to the content and does not host or copy it, the act of linking does not constitute direct copyright infringement under standard interpretations of copyright law (such as the Digital Millennium Copyright Act - DMCA - in the United States).
Consequently, sending a DMCA takedown notice or a similar copyright infringement claim directly to World TV Stream is not the appropriate procedure for removing allegedly infringing content. Such notices directed to us cannot achieve the removal of the actual video stream from its source.
Important Disclaimer: Action Required for Content Removal
Please understand that World TV Stream has no control over the linked content itself. Removing a link from our apps or website will not remove the content from its source on the web. The content will remain active and accessible until removed by the entity hosting it.
To remove infringing content from the web entirely, you must contact the specific web hosting provider or content delivery network (CDN) that is actually hosting and serving the video content itself. Identifying and contacting the source host is the only effective way to have the content removed. World TV Stream cannot assist in this process beyond providing this guidance.
Reporting Issues with Links in the Source Repository
If you believe any specific links included in the iptv-org/iptv repository (and therefore potentially displayed by WTS) point to content that infringes upon your copyright at the source or should otherwise not be listed as publicly available, you may address this directly with the iptv-org project maintainers via their GitHub repository. Following their guidelines, you can typically request removal of a specific link via a pull request or by opening an issue on their repository.
